Getting to Grindelwald by car
By car you can reach Grindelwald via Lucerne or Bern via highway N8. When you reach Wilderswil you leave the highway and follow the main road via Zweilütschinen to Grindelwald. The chalet is located in the village center, 20 meters after the Firstbahn, across the Sunstar parking lot. It will take approximately 2 hours 40 mins from Zurich Airport to Grindelwald.
Getting to Grindelwald by train
With the train you travel via Bern or Lucerne to Interlaken Ost, from there you catch the Bernese Oberland Bahn to Grindelwald. It will take approximately 3 hours from the Zurich Airport to Grindelwald. At the Grindelwald train station you can get on bus nr.12, which will take you to the Firstbahn (only 20 meters from Chalet Abendrot).
How to find us
The Chalet Abendrot is located on the main street in Grindelwald in the immediate vicinity of the Firstbahn. In about 10 minutes you can reach us by foot from the train station. There are also good bus connections from the train station:
